Bringing Baby Home presents the work of Dr. John Gottman. This material gives parents research-based and research-tested information for constructively addressing the relationship changes during the transition to parenthood. The goal of this program is to strengthen families by helping couples learn effective communication techniques, skills for conflict resolution, and information designed to encourage parenting techniques that optimize baby’s quality of life.

We love babies, so please bring your baby with you if you deliver before the class starts. There is no fee for this class, however, the workbook is $30 (1 book per family).

This series takes place on Thursday evenings on our Granite Bay campus. Upcoming classes take place: October 2018, January 2019, March 2019

Please send an email to maryb@baysideonline.com if you are interested in attending or to hold your spot in the next class!

At MOPS (mothers of babies and preschoolers) we come together as a community of moms and moms- to -be who seek authentic connections; bringing women together to share in the joys and challenges that this season of motherhood brings.

Do you have a child in elementary school? Join us and connect with other moms in a similar life stage as we study the book Mom Set Free. This study will empower you to parent in the confidence of God’s grace and to experience the freedom that you were created for. We moms are told that we have to get it all right so our kids turn out right. We’re told that their entire futures are riding on our ability to perfectly orchestrate their lives. And we’re told that the strength of their faith hinges on ours. And we begin to believe that if we try hard enough, we can actually “be enough”. In, Mom Set Free, author Jeannie Cunnion reveals how the Good News of the Gospel empowers us to live – and parent – in the freedom for which Christ has set us free.

Parenting Book Study – Becoming Mom Strong
Moms today are facing questions that previous generations didn’t even see coming, and even our right to determine what is best for our own children is under fire. Popular speaker and blogger Heidi St. John (The Busy Mom) believes that today’s mothers need a special kind of strength. We need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. In Becoming Mom Strong, Heidi has a powerful message just for you – the mom in the midst of it all. Through encouragement, practical prayer points, and authentic “me-too” moments, you will be equipped to do the job only you can do. God wants to use this generation of mothers to do something extraordinary! Join our study and journey in Becoming Mom Strong.

The Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a unique intervention model created by developmental psychologists Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross, founders of the Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. It is based on more than a decade of research and hands on work with vulnerable children and their families.

TBRI offers in-depth training for parents of children with trauma-based behavioral issues. Children that have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, and/or trauma in early development can develop behaviors that can be confusing, frustrating and difficult to manage even for the most patient and loving parents. Come join us and become empowered, connected, and learn lifelong solutions that will build a stronger parent-child relationship.
