He’s not just a new character in the upcoming film I Can Only Imagine 2 (in theaters February 20), Tim Timmons is the feature film’s main character, portrayed by actor Milo Ventimiglia.

Tim’s story is one of deep faith forged through real suffering.
At just 25 years old, Tim was diagnosed with incurable cancer. Faced with a future that suddenly felt uncertain, Tim and his wife Hilary began asking hard questions about faith, trust, and what it truly means to follow Jesus. What emerged was a decision to live life on purpose, choosing to join Jesus not only in the extraordinary moments, but in the everyday ones too.
During this season, Tim toured with MercyMe as Bart Millard faced one of the most difficult seasons of his life with his family. That journey led Tim to co-write MercyMe’s Grammy-nominated song “Even If,” a powerful anthem of faith in the midst of unanswered prayers, now featured in I Can Only Imagine 2.
