San Francisco Outreach | Middle School
6th, 7th & 8th Grades
|April 15||3:00pm - 10:00pm||San Francisco||199|
An event every day that begins at 3:00pm, repeating until April 17, 2019
What is your student doing for spring break?
Playing video games? Sleeping in? Going to the mall? What if their spring break was about making an impact in the lives of others? Making a difference?!
This is an opportunity for your student to do something they will remember for the rest of their lives! Join middle school students from all Bayside campuses on the annual 10:45 Spring Break Mission Trip. Taken from Mark 10:45, Jesus gives us the example to serve others.
We will head to San Francisco to serve the homeless in the Tenderloin District. This will be an eye-opening and exciting time! We are partnering with a local ministry called City Impact who has been serving this community for 30 years.
Students will experience God like never before as they step out of their comfort zone and work with food banks, mobile food delivery, a local thrift store, and much more. We will end the trip with a fun day in the city.
THERE ARE 2 STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION:
Step 1: Complete the Bayside registration page by clicking the Register Here button:
Step 2: Complete the City Impact Waiver and Turn Into Your Campus Pastor.
- Where are you staying?
Guys will be staying at City Impact headquarters, which is located in the heart of the Tenderloin. This building is very secure (many of the City Impact staff live in this building as well). Ladies will be staying in the Salvation Army Gymnasium.
- How will we get there?
We will take buses from Bayside Church to the front door of City Impact. During our stay, we will not need transportation, as everything is located within walking distance.
- How many leaders will be on this trip?
We have a great leader/student ratio of 1 to 7. In addition to our experienced Bayside staff and volunteer adult leaders, the City Impact staff will be with us each day.
- Is the Tenderloin safe?
City Impact is on the same block as the police station and has never had an incident of concern with a member of a missions trip team. We will always be in a group of at least ten when we go outside and we will have one of the experienced City Impact leaders with us at all times.
- Can my 6th grader attend?
Yes, this is a mission trip for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to visit the City Impact webpage at: http://sfcityimpact.com/missions/.
We will be sending an informational email to all students who have registered with a packing list, check-in information, and any other relevant information that you will need to know.
