The Welcome team members serve our guests at the Welcome & Connection Center booth by answering their questions, providing clear information, and helping them take next steps. For our first-time guests they provide them with a genuine greeting, a personalized experience, a gift, and a friendly follow-up. This is our “help booth” and the first connection point for everyone coming onto our campus. Team members answer questions, assist guests to find the different areas of ministry on campus, and help all guests get connected to Bayside.

Bulletin stuffing for weekend services & special projects as needed. We meet Fridays from 10-11 a.m. to stuff bulletins for Adventure, Blue Oaks, Folsom & Granite Bay campuses.
Campus care volunteers help with caring and preparing our facility for weekend services. Much like getting your house ready when you have someone over, we want to make sure God’s “house” is ready for guests as well. This could include stocking restrooms, emptying trash, watering plants, help with setup and takedown, checking the overall look of the campus from the parking lot to the seats.
Members of this team serve our guests by setting up coffee and snacks, providing a welcoming environment that allows for connection with others. Practically, they make coffee and set out water in the courtyard. This team will also help when we have food items or special events happening in the courtyard during the weekend services.

The purpose of Bayside Local Outreach is to mobilize the gifts, abilities, and availability of people at Bayside to bring compassion and justice to our community and region. We have regular outreach opportunities in the greater Sacramento area for you to get involved in as we reach wide and unleash compassion.

Care Connection is your safe place for hope, encouragement and support for whatever life issue you may be facing. We provide support and resources if people need prayer, employment, a support group, chaplain support, financial assistance, and even premarital counseling. This team cares for those who are really struggling, showing them God’s love during their time of need.

We love bringing people onto our campus and providing a safe and fun place for them to gather and learn about Jesus. We’ll see you there!
The ushers serve our guests in the Worship Center by initiating a warm greeting, friendly presence, and a clear direction to a seat. They distribute and collect the offering buckets. They are available before, during, and after service to assist guests as needed. At the end of each service, they remove trash and get the room ready for the following service.
We meet weekly on Mondays from 10-12 p.m. to enter and manage data in our system.
We have two different call center team opportunities available. Tuesdays from 10-12 pm or Thursdays from 10-12 pm. The call center makes outbound calls to welcome our new guests (Tuesdays) and also to touch base with the congregation (Thursdays) to share upcoming event information and ask if there’s any prayer needs.
Serve our guests by providing foot patrol around the campus during the Weekend services, watching for potential situations of concern. Due to the nature of this position, this group of volunteers must be properly trained and not all who apply are selected for this team.
These team members serve our guests by providing basic emergency care and stabilizing the guest until the outside professionals arrive on campus, if necessary. This is a unique opportunity! After each weekend service, this person is present in the Worship Center for those who raise their hand for the first time to receive Christ or simply come forward for prayer. This is a great place to serve if you are a prayer warrior.
Serve our guests before they enter the building! You will initiate with a warm welcome, clear parking directions to an available parking spot, and a fond farewell. This position is crucial to setting the environment for people to experience Jesus. This team also gets to wear a really cool bright orange shirt and/or vest!
A ministry to our hearing-impaired guests. If you are trained in ASL, we would love you on this team to interpret the music and message during one of our weekend services.
Greeters serve our guests at the doors, in hallways, and around the campus by making them feel seen and valued with a sincere greeting, a friendly presence. Greeters are placed strategically around the campus so that guests receive a warm and welcoming greeting from the street to their seat. This is a great place for families to serve together or even a small group serving together.
Provide a classroom experience for kids including a Bible story, craft, activities, outdoor play, snack, and toileting. Children range from 2 years–4 years of age. Connect with parents during drop-off and pick-up and assure them that their loved ones are in safe hands. This ministry supports Women’s ministry midweek Bible studies.
Caring for the smallest babies, crawlers, and littles just learning to walk. Reassure parents that their loved ones are in safe hands. Duties also include nurturing upset babies, making bottles / feeding, and changing diapers.
Do you love babies and want to offer them a safe and secure space to stay during weekend services? This is your spot! Our amazing team of volunteers love on and pray over each baby as their parents attend church. This is a very sweet volunteer position.
This volunteer role teaches, prays for, and loves on preschoolers and kindergarteners during weekend services. Our amazing team of volunteers pour into the kids in many different ways to create the best hour of the week for kids! Through a craft, bible teaching, play time and more, this role is crucial as it sets the stage for their time at church to be a great overall experience where they begin to learn about God and his characteristics.
This volunteer role teaches, prays for, and loves on our elementary aged kids during weekend services. Our amazing team of volunteers pour into the kids in many different ways to create the best hour of the week for kids! Through a bible teaching, a strategic craft, play time and more, this role really gets to teach kids about God’s character and begin to see how it relates to their lives. Get ready to have a lot of fun in this classroom!
This volunteer role pours into our oldest kids that are still part of kids ministry during our weekend services. Our amazing team of volunteers pour into the kids in many different ways to create the best hour of the week for kids! Through interactive bible teaching, games, crafts, and more, this role is is crucial to these students starting to learn how God loves them and the Bible relates to their lives. You will help prepare them step into Middle School confidently!
If you touch it, we deal with it! We help set up and take down chairs for all Bayside events, as well as clean and maintain our campus. We’re looking for hard-working people who want to help make God’s house the best it can be for our guests. And we have a lot of fun doing it!

Have you ever wanted to help create, edit, and manage the slides you see on the big screens during worship, weekend services, and events? Here’s an opportunity for you to support our pastoral team and Thrive Worship. You will receive training in Keynote, ProPresenter, and the processes for uploading and running slides.
This person will be one of several operators on the weekend, getting video shots using a Bayside camera during worship and message. These camera shots will be used live on side screens and broadcast. No experience needed – we’ll train you!

This person will make sure worship team and speakers go out on time, change batteries in all mics, and take care of any transitional items that need to come on or off stage. No previous experience needed.
This person will run the audio console on the weekend for the in-room audio experience during the weekend services. This position is high level and requires experience. We do have an A2 assistant position that requires less training if you’re interested in this position.
This person will run audio for in-ear mixes for the worship leaders during weekend services. This role requires experience and is very high level. We do have an M2 assistant position that requires less training if you’re interested in this position.
This person will run the video switcher console while simultaneously directing camera operators on what shots to get and take them live on IMAG and WEB. This role is very high level and requires experience.
Operate the lighting console (may involve some lighting programming) for weekend services. This role requires experience and is very high level. We do have an L2 assistant position that requires less training if you’re interested in this position.
This role helps support the women’s Bible study gatherings that happen weekly at Granite Bay. Specific duties include decor set-up, greeting, beverage team, food table, and clean up. These ladies have a blast and help create a welcoming environment for all those coming to learn about God’s word.
Do you have a heart for loving on moms with young kids? Then these roles are for you! Specific roles include mentoring mons (with preschoolers or older), greeting at the bible study, decor set-up, and clean-up. This pertains to Parenting classes and MOPS class.
Come help serve for these events through setting up decor, greeting, beverage team, food table, and clean up. We’d love your help making these monthly or one-time events happen for so many women coming to get plugged into Women’s ministry and to learn more about God. Timeline is Summer/Fall (July & August).
You will help set the environment for people attending a class that will help them learn all about Bayside. This includes room set-up, food set-up, welcoming and connecting with class attendees. Often times this team is the first group to help bring people into the Bayside family and therefore, this volunteer position is super important! And did we mention, they always have a lot of fun?
Do you like coffee? Do you like meeting new people? Then this position is for you! The Bayside Cafe is open everyday to our community, serving Peet’s Coffee & Tea run completely by volunteers! We want you to join us to help make this a welcoming space and peaceful environment for our community. No previous coffee experience needed. Shifts are a couple hours once a week.

Become a Check-in Assistant and make a difference in our church community! This role goes beyond logistics, as it centers on extending hospitality. Check-in attendees for services and events, creating a welcoming environment and sense of belonging. You’ll provide comfort to parents and enhance experiences for all attendees. No experience is needed, and flexible commitments are provided. Your involvement will help us create a welcoming space for all.
